Can Shop: Mon – Fri 10am – 4pm

GOOD CHEMISTRY BREWING CAN SHOP
Our can shop is open for take-away sales during the week. We say 10am till 4pm but if you’re passing and see the roller shutter up/A-frame outside/our white van parked on the curb, then come on in and ring the bell on the counter.
Our Brewery Taproom will only be open on a few occasions in 2024 so the Can Shop is your only other chance to buy direct from the source – thank you if you’ve made it down for a pint at the Tap over the last few years, and we look forward to seeing you for take-away cans and at the pub this year instead.
Check out our blog and shop for the latest, and of course keep an eye on our social media (facebook, twitter, instagram) for up-to-date info on what’s happening at the brewery.
Thanks as ever for your support.

KINGS HEAD – GOOD CHEMISTRY BREWING’S NEXT PUB!
Our second pub, the historic and beautiful Kings Head, opened in Central Bristol in November 2022!
You can read a bit about it on our blog here, plus here’s how Bristol 24/7 announced it to the world, and then followed up once we opened! We also enjoyed coverage from Bristol Post (before and after opening) and Bristol World (before and after), which is brilliant. We’re open seven days a week in the capable hands of our team and under the watchful eye of Colin, with our own beers plus local and national guest beers. Pop over to our webpage here and the pub’s social media for more info, and we look forward to sharing a pint with you on Victoria Street soon!

Wow – how have we got here?! In just a year’s time we’ll be celebrating a DECADE in brewing – what an achievement!

Details are still to be confirmed, but save the date and come and hang out with us at GCHQ for what will be the second of your three opportunities to do so this year.
We’ll be pouring our special birthday beer alongside brand new specials and your favourite flagships. We’re getting a stella line-up of record spinners to join us. And we’ll have a food trader to keep your belly full. What more could you want!

THINK WHILE YOU DRINK: A Q&A ABOUT DESI PUBS WITH DAVID JESUDASON AND BOAK & BAILEY
On Wed 1st Nov we’re excited to welcome award-winning British-Asian journalist and beer writer David Jesudason to The Good Measure for an evening chatting about desi pubs.
As Bristol celebrates 60 years since the Bus Boycott ended the colour bar in place at the local bus company (an episode discussed in the book), we’d love you to join us for a chat between David Jesudason and Ray Bailey of local beer writing duo Boak & Bailey. David’s acclaimed new book ‘Desi Pubs’ takes you on a journey to parts of Britain that are seldom visited – this is a celebration of 2023 Britain and the forgotten people who created our modern multicultural country.
Come and hear David talk about his exploration of desi pubs and take the opportunity to ask questions, buy the book and head about this modern-day celebration of multiculturalism.
We’ll be kicking off at 6:30pm and finishing up around 8:30pm. Boak & Bailey’s books will also be available to buy on the night. This is a free entry event.
If you have any questions please email cheers@thegoodmeasure.co.uk
We very much look forward to seeing you.
Please note The Good Measure will be closed to the public for the duration of this event, and re-opening afterwards.

TAP TAKEOVER & MEET THE BREWER EVENTS AT THE GOOD MEASURE
In January, February & March, May, June & July, and September, October & November our pub The Good Measure hosts some of the best breweries from across the country taking over the taps! We started these events back in 2019, welcoming everyone from Pressure Drop, Affinity and The Kernel to DEYA, Burning Sky and Track, and are delighted to be re-starting them post-pandemic.
Join us this summer for the best from Birmingham, Manchester and London as we welcome our next guests to BS6.
You’ll not only have the opportunity to try a huge range of each brewery’s beers (across keg AND cask wherever possible), but also quiz the owner/brewer/sales manager! We usually take our visiting brewers round the room with a beer for you to sample, so you don’t even need to pluck up the courage to approach – we’ll come to you!
Look forward to seeing you there – cheers!

EAST BRISTOL BREWERY TRAIL #9
YES IT’S BACK!
We’ve missed it just as much as you, so we’re excited to bring you the first East Bristol Brewery Trail since 2019!
With just a short walk between each brewery, it’s a chance to meet the brewers, explore the area and sample some great local beers. The Brewery Trail is centred around the start of the Bristol & Bath cycle path, near Lawrence Hill station and only ten minutes from Temple Meads.
All breweries will take card and some (including us) will be cashless. This is a FREE event, the only charge is of course for the beer and food – sofas/music/basketball/sunshine (we hope!) is all yours!
GCHQ will host Soy Ahoy for food and Private Britton spinning records, so we look forward to seeing you!

BEER & TACOS (& TUNES!) AT THE TAP!
Bristol Craft Beer Festival might have been postponed till the end of July, but that’s no reason not to have a great beer-filled time in our fair city this weekend.
Join us in awesome East Bristol on Saturday for Basement 17 Tacos’ first outing to this neck of the woods – you’ll recognise Carlos from cooking up a storm on our Masa + Mezcal partner events 🌮😋
And it wouldn’t be a GCHQ party without Archdeacon Of Pop, who’ll be joined this time round by our good mate Lonely Tourist, both spinning top tunes for your ears🎧
We’ll be pouring some special beers, and of course providing a covid-secure environment in line with current guidance. That means space is limited – get here early to avoid disappointment!
And if we can’t fit you in, we’ll have cans and tacos available for you to take away.
We can’t WAIT to see you – cheers!🍻

BREWERY TAP OPENING PARTY – EASTER WEEKEND!
Spring is finally here! And with it comes the rolling up of that shutter as we welcome you all back to our corner of St Philips.
We’re throwing a big Easter weekend party to celebrate the re-opening of our brewery tap!
We’re really excited to be partnering with Masa + Mezcal once again, following two brilliant takeovers last summer. Think amazing tacos, frozen margaritas and what can only be blue skies over William Street for our opening weekend!
So come down and celebrate the start of summer with us – from 10th April we’ll be open every Friday (5-9) and Saturday (12-8).
—-IMPORTANT INFO—
This summer Good Chemistry’s brewery tap is going cashless.
And obviously we will be following government advice regarding Coronavirus.

To celebrate International Women’s Day this March I’d be delighted if you’d join me at The Good Measure in Redland. Once again we’ll be showcasing beers brewed by women and from breweries owned and run by women, and I hope it’ll give us all a chance to properly meet each other, socialise and share our experiences of being involved in beer.
So whether you work in a brewery, volunteer at a beer fest, homebrew, work behind a bar, or are just interested in beer it would be great to see you.
We’re showing the 6 Nations rugby at the pub so that will be on, but there’ll be plenty of space for us to drink, chat and mingle! I look forward to welcoming you.
Cheers!

KOKOMO CRAWL 2020!
Join us as we celebrate another amazing year of Bristol’s favourite pale ale KOKOMO WEEKDAY with our third annual pub crawl across Bristol – and the return of WEEKEND!
In Feb 2018 we launched our sunshine session strength IPA Kokomo Weekday with a pub crawl across Bristol. The February before *that* we welcomed Kokomo Weekend to the world, Weekday’s bigger, badder, bolder partner! Last year we celebrated Kokomo Weekday’s first birthday with a pub crawl up to The Good Measure.
The 2020 pub crawl venues will be online shortly and updated as more pubs and bars get involved – and this year, you can even join in from home as we also celebrate our amazing can customers, who’ll all be well-stocked with both Kokomo Weekday AND Weekend!
Hawaiian shirts and pineapple attire greatly encouraged, and you can follow everything on social media through #KokomoCrawl!

Where has that year gone?! Thank you so much for your support of our first pub, The Good Measure, in 2019 – it’s been an amazing twelve months. So to celebrate a year of being in business we’re welcoming back all the breweries we’ve hosted tap takeovers with this year, to each take over one tap!
Featuring Track Brewing Co. (Manchester), The Kernel Brewery (London), Stroud Brewery, DEYA Brewing Co (Cheltenham), Howling Hops (London), Burning Sky Brewery (Sussex), Affinity Brew Co (London) and Pressure Drop Brewing (London) and, of course, Good Chemistry Brewing!
We’re sure you’ll agree – that is quite some line-up!
So see you on 12th December for some great beers and great company – cheers!

The Famous Royal Navy Volunteer, 17-18 King Street, Bristol BS1 4EF
The Famous Royal Navy Volunteer has been a strong supporter of ours since we first started Good Chemistry four years ago. Taking over their gazillion taps is a bit of a rite of passage, and we waited until we felt a bit established before feeling confident we could do it justice! So let’s get Christmas started with a big party on King Street at the end of November!
We’re excited about the number and range of beers we’re going to have pouring, and think it really points towards our aims of being accessible and approachable to all. The full beer list will be revealed over the next few weeks on facebook, but we’re bringing everything from our trad bitter to hoppy juice bombs to German-style wheat beers to the dark stuff. Might even be a barrel aged special or two in there if you’re lucky! We’re heading down for the night – we really look forward to seeing you there!

> Pumpkins
> Apple Bobbing
> Fancy Dress
> Spooky live art with David J McMillan & Ed Cheverton!
Plus we’ll be celebrating not one but TWO Good Chemistry team members’ birthdays! We do hope you can join us.

After a brilliant summer where we’re loved rolling up that shutter and welcoming you all to our corner of awesome East Bristol, we’re sorry to say our brewery tap here at GCHQ will be open for the last time on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th October.
We are sending the summer off with a bang, though, as we welcome back our friends from Season & Taste on the Saturday. They will once again be taking over the brewery with their amazing tacos, music, and of course frozen margaritas! As in July they’re fundraising for Sara’s and Tallulah’s trek across the Rift Valley in Jordan next February, so come join for a big party with a good cause!
If you want to know more about the charity, track Sara and Tallulah’s progress or donate to their challenge, click here
And a huge thank you to everyone who visited the brewery tap this summer, whether once, for a special event, or many times since the end of April. We’re very excited to be joined in the brewery by East London based The French Workwear Company, providing high quality vintage workwear garments for women and men. Think chore jackets, trousers, dungarees, jumpsuits in varying styles and colours, all either preloved or deadstock, from the 1950s to the present day.
“We sell mainly online and through pop-ups in unusual venues, providing a relaxed shopping experience. This is our first Bristol visit, and only our second pop up outside London, so we are very excited to be collaborating with the good people at Good Chemistry Brewing.”
With a dedication to responsible fashion and sustainability, The French Workwear Company pay homage to the style and quality giving these timeless garments a new lease of life.
If that wasn’t reason enough to get to GCHQ, the brewery will also be open as usual serving a large range of beer brewed onsite. We’ll be hosting street food pop-up MooStoo serving up a range of extra special stews to keep you going while you browse.

Wow! The first official ride of the Good Chemistry Cycling Club in July was awesome! Thanks to everyone who joined us. The next one is at the start of September: meeting at GCHQ in St Philips from 10am, we’ll fuel up with coffee and Hart’s Bakery croissants before heading along the Bristol-Bath cycle path to Bath Ales in Warmley.
Here we’ll be able to enjoy a beer before an exclusive tour of the brewery just for us, then we’ll cycle back to Bristol to the Good Chemistry brewery tap, open from 2pm. We have the delicious Koocha Mezze Bar, (cooking on Friday night too!) serving hot and filling kebabs for hungry riders!
This event is not a race, and is open to all riding abilities. Feel free to take it at a leisurely pace with brewery co-founder Kelly. Or, if you’re after more of a challenge, join Dave from our pub The Good Measure, who’ll be leading a longer ride on the way back to earn those pints at GCHQ.
And if you live at the Bath end of the ride, you’re very welcome to join us for the return leg (and those pints at GCHQ!).
The special one-off Bath Ales brewery tour for our group costs just £7.50, payable in advance at our brewery tap or on the day if there are still spaces. Please message us if you would like to book a space or have any questions.

PLUS: Arbor Ales, Dawkins Ales, Left Handed Giant and Moor Beer
Our May East Bristol Brewery Trail this year was fantastic, so we’re excited to unveil the second installment for 2019!
The big change for this Trail is that Arbor are NOT opening the bar in their yard for this edition only as they’re undergoing some expansion works at the brewery this summer. They will instead be popping up at neighbours Dawkins Ales, just across the road from the Arbor brewery, so you can get two of the East Bristol breweries for the price of one this August! You will also find some of their cans at each of the other breweries.
The rest of the Trail is unaffected, and all the breweries look forward to welcoming you to awesome East Bristol! With just a short walk between each of the five breweries, it’s a chance to meet the brewers, explore the area and sample some great local beers. The Brewery Trail is centred around the start of the Bristol & Bath cycle path, near Lawrence Hill station and only ten minutes from Temple Meads.
We’ll have Gopal’s Curry Shack back with the good stuff, a huge range of beers on cask and keg, great music from Archdeacon of Pop and of course our comfy sofas.
We take cards at GCHQ, so save your cash for the non-card venues.

After four great years at Bristol Craft Beer Festival we’re really excited to be heading up to the big smoke this August to tout our wares to the capital. We’re taking our best-seller, Kokomo Weekday, plus a few special guests, so do come and find our bar if you’ve going!

What a four years we’ve had! In 2015 Bob and I (Kelly) got the keys for our big warehouse in awesome East Bristol, and we haven’t looked back! We’re incredibly thankful for all the support you’ve shown us in that time, and can’t believe how our small business has grown into this big adventure. As you know, we love rolling up the shutters to welcome everyone to our brewery and we’re looking forward to sharing Saturday 3rd August with you for a little celebration.
We’re excited to welcome Grano Kitchen from nearby Old Market, bringing the finest Italian pizza slices and foccacia this side of Turin. Archdeacon of Pop will be here spinning his usual selection of brilliant vinyl, breaking out the ‘guilty pleasures’ of the team at GCHQ!
And if you’re lucky we’ll be pouring a couple of special beers 😉

Season & Taste, the great minds that bring you Masa + Mezcal, Bravas, Bakers & Co, Gambas and Cargo Cantina, are teaming up with Good Chemistry Brewing again in a BREWERY TAKEOVER! Expect incredible Mexican inspired tacos, alongside a tasty selection of our beers & great music to go with that summer weather.
We were proud to be asked to brew Masa+Mezcal’s house beer MASA, a 4% zesty pale ale made with maize, just like their tacos. It has been incredibly popular and we’ve had to rebrew multiple times since the opening in March this year – cheers!
Last year S&T co-founder Kieran challenged himself on a trek in Nepal in support of Action Against Hunger. Incredibly his team, a mix of faces from across the Bristol hospitality sector, raised over £100,000. After that success, next year S&T will be represented by the one and only Sara! As Project Manager you may recognise her from any of the awesome S&T venues across Bristol. This event will be an opportunity to raise money for Sara’s challenge – a six day endurance trek across the Rift Valley in Jordan next February.

Glast is back! After a fallow year in 2018 to let the fields recover, the greatest show on earth returns to Pilton at the end of June. But whether you tried for tickets and weren’t successful, or couldn’t take the whole weekend off work (like us!), we’re not going to Glastonbury are we?
So, why not come over to ours and we’ll celebrate the festival at GCHQ instead. With the telly set up and all our best beers on the bar, you can even wear your wellies if you want! But we’ll have no mud, no camping and no rain – hooray!
We’re really excited to welcome Gloucester Road’s Koocha to the brewery to keep the hunger at bay too, with the best vegan kebabs!

As part of Bristol Food Connections, Kelly will be speaking on a panel about marketing in food and drinks businesses. After Duchess Media take you through coming up with mouthwatering social media posts, selling out events or working with the press and influencers, Kelly and the rest of the panel (including Imogen Waite from our collaborators Season & Taste, the group behind Masa + Mezcal) will be discussing how they successfully market their food and drinks businesses themselves, and when it can be right to take on outside help.
This is part of a whole day event at Colston Hall covering such topics as Bristol as a food tourism destination, scaling a sustainable food business, funding and investment and food instagram. This should be a really interesting, though-provoking, helpful day, so check out the link below, and get yourself a ticket!

After two great years at Motion, last September’s third BCBF was a huge success at its new location on Bristol’s iconic harbourside. This year the festival moves to mid-summer, with three great sessions over Friday evening and Saturday. The unique ‘all in’ ticket works really well, allowing you to sample as many beers as you like. And you need that freedom, with over 200 beers being poured by more than forty breweries – from Bristol and the south-west, the rest of the UK and further afield!

Join us at the Brewery Tap in St Philips and The Good Measure in Redland to launch our 200th brew: POCKET CALCULATOR!
The first recipe our new brewer Fergus has put together, our 5% German-style wheat beer offers a striking beer experience. Amber in colour, and made using wheat and a unique yeast strain to give it its distinctive flavour, this refreshing and highly carbonated beer showcases yeast-driven fruit and spice. Our brew is a traditional German style using modern German hops – Hallertau Blanc.
Fergus says this style of beer was what got him into beer – drinking Weihenstephaner Vitus (one of the best beers he’s ever had) at the Carpenter’s Arms in London. It’s a great summer beer, and a style that beer fans and those new to beer will love.
The name is of course a reference to the 1981 song by pioneering German electronic band Kraftwerk. At the brewery tap we’re really excited to have our in-warehouse DJ Archdeacon of Pop playing Kraftwerk vinyl all Friday night to get the beer properly flowing. And at The Good Measure there’ll be a special Krautrock playlist for the launch!

With the launch of our Bristol Craft Beer Festival collaboration this Friday we thought it would be a good opportunity to line up our two other current Bristol collabs on the taps! We’re really proud to work with Honest Burgers to make their house brew, HONEST DROP, a 4.5% hoppy pale ale perfect for burgers, and with Masa + Mezcal brewing their MASA, a light refreshing 4% beer made to complement those Mexican flavours!
The BCBF collab was brewed just round the corner from GCHQ at Left Handed Giant, and alongside Wiper + True and New Bristol Brewery. It’s a sour IPA with loads of mangos, passionfruit and gooseberries – perfect for summer!
You can also try the BCBF beer at The Good Measure from 5pm on Friday too.

There’ll be glitter, sparkle, excellent beer of course, and games to keep us glued to the screen (as if the backing dancers, awkward links between presenters and political intrigue isn’t enough).
We take cards behind the bar at GCHQ, so no need to raid the piggy bank before you come.
And although the official Eurovis fun doesn’t kick off on telly until 8pm, the brewery tap will be open as usual from 2pm and we have a specially-commissioned quiz running from 5:30pm, so come down and get in the mood with the pre-party!

PLUS: Arbor Ales, Dawkins Ales, Left Handed Giant and Moor Beer
Number seven – who can believe it! Our May bank holiday East Bristol Brewery Trail last year was amazing! Such sunshine! Great beers! Delicious food! Loads of lovely people! And now it’s nearly time to do it all again, as five of Bristol’s best breweries roll up the shutters to welcome you all to our ‘hood.
We’ll have Gopal’s Curry Shack back with the good stuff, a huge range of beers, great music from Archdeacon of Pop and of course our comfy sofas.
With just a short walk between each of the five breweries, it’s a chance to meet the brewers, explore the area and sample some great local beers. The Brewery Trail is centred around the start of the Bristol & Bath cycle path, near Lawrence Hill station and only ten minutes from Temple Meads.
Pick up a map at your first brewery, and if you visit all five you’re in with a chance to win some great prizes including a selection of East Bristol breweries beers, tickets to the Bristol Craft Beer Festival, and the BCBF collaboration beer that we brewed with LHG in April!
We take cards at GCHQ, so save your cash for the non-card venues.

The Good Measure, 2B Chandos Road, Redland, Bristol BS6 6PE
To celebrate International Women’s Day this March I’d be delighted if you’d join me at The Good Measure in Redland. We’ll be showcasing beers brewed by women, and hope it’ll give us all a chance to properly meet each other, socialise and share our experiences of being involved in beer.
So whether you work in a brewery, volunteer at a beer fest, homebrew, work behind a bar, or are just interested in beer it would be great to see you.
I’ll be there from 4pm, and look forward to welcoming you after work through the evening.
Cheers!

The Good Measure, 2B Chandos Road, Redland, Bristol BS6 6PE
At the end of January we brewed a collaboration with our friends at Stroud Brewery in Gloucestershire – the resulting beer, DUBBEL BOND, launches tonight at The Good Measure! This noble hopped organic Belgian-style Dubbel is the combination of Bob’s and Rich’s brewing expertise and our love of Belgian beers. You can read about how the collab came about on our blog here.
Come and meet Rich, Kris and Harriet from Stroud Brewery as we share a takeover of the taps at our pub in Redland. Brewer Rich will also be doing a guided tasting of three of Stroud’s beers. Tickets for this are just £6 and available from the pub. Email cheers@thegoodmeasure.co.uk if you’d like to reserve one. We all look forward to seeing you there!

Join brewster Chloe from Stroud Brewery and our very own co-founder Kelly for a tutored tasting at The Three Crowns in Chippenham, as part of the pub’s three day beer festival celebrating women in brewing. This will be the first time DUBBEL BOND, our collaboration with Stroud, will be pouring, and Kelly and Chloe will be talking about beer styles and the differences between beers from can, bottle, cask and keg, along with anything else you’d be interesting in knowing about!
Across the weekend there will be a wide range of delicious beers brewed by women, some free and some ticketed (paid for) events, all interspersed with Six Nations Rugby, of course!
Tickets for the tasting are £10 per person and must be purchased from The Three Crowns in advance.

HAPPY KOKOMO BIRTHDAY!
It’s exactly a year since we launched our session strength IPA KOKOMO WEEKDAY onto the world, with our big Bristol pub crawl as detailed in the map to the left. It’s also two years since its bigger, badder fore-runner KOKOMO WEEKEND was unleashed! So we thought we’d celebrate with another pub crawl, ending up at our pub, The Good Measure in Redland!
We’ll be heading from GCHQ across town via various places and hope you’ll join us, either en route or at The Good Measure. Details of where we’ll be when coming soon, or check out your nearest location to get involved – the map will be updated shortly and the list of places it’s pouring will go on facebook. Hawaiian shirts and pineapple attire greatly encouraged!

Brand new bar and bottle shop Hop & Scotch opened in December so we’re their FIRST event of this kind – better make it a good one! We’re putting on ten of our bestest beers, and will be there to chat about what goes into making a Good Chemistry brew – we look forward to seeing you!

The Famous Royal Navy Volunteer, 17-18 King Street, Bristol BS1 4EF
The Famous Royal Navy Volunteer (to give it its full glorious name!) has been a strong supporter of ours since we first started Good Chemistry three years ago. Taking over their gazillion taps is a bit of a rite of passage, and we waited until this time last year to be confident we could do it justice! So let’s get Christmas started with a big party on King Street at the end of November!
We’re excited about the number and range of beers we’re going to have pouring, and think it really points towards our aims of being accessible and approachable to all. The full beer list will be revealed over the next few weeks on facebook, but we’re bringing everything from our trad bitter to hoppy juice bombs to Belgian-style beers to the dark stuff. Might even be a barrel aged special in there if you’re lucky! We’re heading down for the night – we really look forward to seeing you there!

The Robin Hood, 56 St Michael’s Hill, Bristol BS2 8DX
It’s new pop-up kitchen time at the Robin Hood once again, and this November they’re welcoming Hoba Kebab to St Michael’s Hill…hang on…anyone else getting deja vu?!
Yep, we took over the taps last time Hoba Kebab launched their residency at the Robin Hood, and it was such a great night they’ve asked for us to partner with them again!
As lovely landlord Ben says “Wow, remember how great those kebabs were? And that Good Chemistry tap takeover was INSANE!!! Back with a vengeance, we’re putting the old band back together, this time it’s personal, return of the kebab – Part 2!”
If you didn’t make it last time, here’s what you need to know…
“Inspired by the Berlin kebab and the huge lack of real kebabs in the UK, we decided to put our own spin on them. We make ours with only the very best ingredients and big flavours. Say goodbye to elephant legs of ‘meat’, polystyrene boxes and fluorescent lighting… We use fresh locally sourced produce, chargrilled and packed into our bespoke Turkish bread with tahini, herbs and pickles.”
Sounds pretty amazing! And we’ll have ten beers across cask and keg (beer list on fcbk), including some of our new winter brews.
Come down to say hi, drink beer and stuff your face – sounds like a great Friday!

At the end of October we’re taking over Corner 77, bringing six of our finest brews down to Stokes Croft. As it’s also National Curry Week, we can’t wait to pair our food with Corner 77 kitchen pop-up regular, Bojan. We all love Indian food here at Good Chemistry, so we’re really excited to work with Geeta to get some tasty food flavours going on alongside our beers!
Obviously no GCB event is complete without Archdeacon of Pop on the decks, so expect him spinning some extra soul and funk vinyl amongst his usual eclectic tunes.

The Hillgrove, 53 Hillgrove Street North, Bristol BS2 8LT
It’s our second annual knees-up at one of the best pubs in Bristol – the Hillgrove in Kingsdown! Once again we’ll be filling their fourteen handpulls – with casks ranging from our usual line-up (Time Lapse, Natural Selection, Solar Impulse) to specially-casked one-off versions of our keg beers like Wits End, and others. We’ll also be bringing a few kegs so you can try these alongside their cask versions.
Join us to get the weekend started early – we’ll all be there, along with our regular in-warehouse DJ, most recently heard at our birthday celebrations and the East Bristol Brewery Trail, spinning his usual top quality vinyl. We can’t wait to see you and share a pint or three – cheers!

For his Wheel Ale Festival this September, we’re running a Good Chemistry keg bar with a range of our brews available all day.

<- our birthday cake from last year, made by Bob’s Mum Brenda with our beer – yum!
Bob and I (Kelly) are so thankful for your support over the last few years. We can’t believe how our small business has grown into this big adventure, and how many new friends we’ve made on our way here. We’re now a team of five, having been joined by Sam in early 2017 and, more recently, Tom and Dan. UPDATE: beer list has been announced, the breweries are there <- and here’s our blog on what we’re pouring and why.

HMS Warrior, HM Naval Yard, Portsmouth PO1 3QX
We think you’d agree that beer, dinosaurs and pirates are three of the best things ever. Staggeringly Good Brewery think so, and last year they put together a shanty-filled beer fest on board HMS Warrior at the naval yard in their home town of Portsmouth. This year it’s back, bigger and better than ever – and we’re incredibly excited to be curating one of the bars!
Across Friday and Saturday night, join us at the Brunel Bar where we’ll be pouring a selection of Bristol’s best beers – and explore the rest of the ship for great beers from breweries such as Cloudwater, Deya and Warpigs amongst many others.
There’ll also be food, and live music to keep you entertained as you wander around the ship. The very last few tickets for Friday are available here, so get in there! Bob, Kelly and Sam will all be around across the weekend, so do say hello if you see us.

We brewed our sweet smoky stout, Black Prince, with Staggeringly Good back in January and the whiskey barrel aged version of that beer will be pouring at WarriorFest. To celebrate our first birthday in August 2016 Bob brewed a tiny batch kettle sour, made using blackcurrants from our garden. It was such a huge success that last summer we launched Disco Fizz as a fruited sour saison, splitting the beer four ways with Blackcurrant again, Gooseberry, Blueberry and Pineapple & Mango. This year we’ve taken it up a notch again. Introducing Disco Fizz 2018 v2! Come down to GCHQ on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st where we’ll be pouring this year’s next iteration. It’s a thoroughly modern refreshing fruity sour wheat beer, inspired by the Florida-Weiss beers from America.

ACROSS THE COUNTRY!
This time last year we launched HOLY ROAR (the beer) with an intimate Meet The Brewers and guided tasting at Ghost Whale in Brixton, and a raucous three-band gig and tap takeover at Crofters Rights. This year, we’re going BIG! Our second collaboration, ROAR POWER, is a summer smasher, and we’ve got serious with our launch events.
Join two of Holy Roar’s best bands, Pijn and Slow Crush, on tour for the Holy Roar side of things. And alongside these gigs we’re taking over the taps at some of those same cities’ best beer venues.
The Bristol launch will be on Saturday 30th June at the brewery tap before the gig at Mother’s Ruin. We’ll have ROAR POWER pouring at both venues, as well as a range of other beers of course. Holy Roar will be here with the bands, and loads of records, cds, merch etc for sale.
And if that’s not enough, we’ll be co-hosting with HRR an end-of-tour party at the Black Heart in Camden. Phew!
Check out our blog for more details of why this collaboration is so important to us, and why we love working with the Holy Roar Records guys and gal.

At the beginning of July, Honest Burgers are throwing open the doors to their brand new Bristol restaurant, on Clare Street just off the centre. Ahead of that Good Chemistry are excited to have them at our brewery tap on Friday 22nd June – and we’ll be pouring the very first keg of our collaboration beer, HONEST DROP!
A modern fruity 4.5% pale ale, HONEST DROP is full-bodied but light, crisp and refreshing, with tropical notes from the American hops.
And to say thank you for coming down, Honest will throw in a free beer with the first fifty burgers – so get down early!
Our usual awesome in-warehouse DJ will be here, we’ll be pouring a load of our other beers as well of course, and we’re staying open later than usual to make the most of midsummer. (Talks 7:15 – 9:30)
GCHQ, Unit 2 William Street, St Philips, Bristol BS2 0RG
We at Good Chemistry love a bit of science. Following on from our Think While You Drink talks as part of Bristol Beer Week in 2016 we were excited to be one of the hosts for last year’s Bristol chapter of Pint of Science festival – and it went so well they’re coming back in 2018! Pint of Science have lined up a programme of talks from a range of academics, and we’re really looking forward to hearing what they have to say.
This is a ticketed event – tickets are available (we think from 9th April) at the Pint of Science website: https://pintofscience.co.uk/
The bar will be open from 6pm, and seats are unreserved. Come early to secure your favourite sofa and get a pint in before the talks kick off at 7:15pm.
On Monday 14th May:
The ever expanding population of planet earth means we are living more closely with wildlife than ever before. Can we co-exist? And in an acoustic environment, how does the noise we produce impact on wildlife? Join Andy Radford, Professor of Behavioural Ecology, and wildlife biologist and BBC presenter Lizzie Daly to find out.
On Tuesday 15th May:
Tonight we discover the “Sea-dragon”: a mythical-sounding Jurassic beast-from-the-deep with a fascinating evolutionary history. But not all carnivores are sharp-toothed giants. Some plants too have developed a taste for meat, but how on earth have they evolved to do that? Research Fellow Ulrike Bauer and Ben Moor, Vertebrate Palaeobiologist, will be exploring insects, pitcher plants and Ichthyosaurs in the 21st Century.
On Wednesday 16th May:
Pollution and waste management are significant problems faced by global society. How can we, as citizens, help improve the air quality in our city? And with the help of electro-active microbes, can we turn waste from a burden into a valuable resource? Senior Research Fellow Tim Chatterton and PhD researcher Iwona Gajda explore these ideas.
Lots more specific information on the individual talks can be found on the Pint of Science website, and the Facebook event is here

On Tuesday 1st May FOUR big breweries from TWO of the UK’s BEST beer cities are coming together to bring you ONE very exciting line up…
As fate would have it, both we and Left Handed Giant descended upon Manchester on the very same day at the end of March, joining forces with Blackjack Beers and Track Brew Co respectively to collaborate and create some new beers which bind the North to the South.
One month on, the beers are ready and we’re bringing them back to Bristol for an evening at our & LHG’s local the Barley Mow. We’ll be showcasing both new collabs along with some of each breweries finest beers. Brewers will of course be on hand to share a beer and have a chat.

We’re really excited to have been invited to be part of their next STEAK NIGHT!
Join West Street Kitchen and Good Chemistry on Sat 14th April for a steak + beer feast! We’ll be taking our portable keg machine down and pouring Natural Selection, plus there’ll be Hurly Burly and Redstart Rye bottles in the fridge as usual.

The Robin Hood, 56 St Michael’s Hill, Bristol BS2 8DX
It’s new pop-up kitchen time at the Robin Hood on St Michael’s Hill, and this April they’re welcoming Hoba Kebab to the Hood.
WARNING: THESE KEBABS ARE LIKE NO KEBABS YOU’VE EATEN BEFORE!
Hoba say: “Inspired by the Berlin kebab and the huge lack of real kebabs in the UK, we decided to put our own spin on them.
And luckily the guys at the Robin Hood realised that the best thing to go with kebabs is: beer!
So we’re taking over the taps, with ELEVEN beers across cask and keg (beer list on fcbk), and as Ben from the pub so rightly puts it: “brewers Bob & Kelly will be coming along to chat beer (while Sam will most likely be eating kebabs and playing on the arcade machine)”!!
Come down to say hi, drink beer and stuff your face – sounds like a great Friday!

Last July Bob and Sam took our beer down to, and then had a very good time at, Staggeringly Good Brewery‘s first WarriorFest, a dinosaur-and-pirate-themed beer festival on a historic naval ship in Portsmouth. How could you not enjoy yourself at that?!
This year, it’s expanding over two days, and we’re excited to be curating a bar of Bristolian brews for it. In anticipation of the festival, at the end of January we invited Staggeringly Good up to GCHQ to brew a beer with us. Some of it has gone into barrel, and the rest is being unveiled on keg at this joint tap takeover. We’ll also have the very last tickets available to this year’s sold out WarriorFest!
Come down to Colston Street in your best dinosaur/pirate fancy dress to sup some Good Chemistry beers alongside those from our South Coast guests, and get the first taste of our collaboration smoked stout BLACK PRINCE!

SAY ALOHA TO KOKOMO WEEKDAY!
As you’ll no doubt have read on our blog, we’ve recently brewed Kokomo Weekday, a session-strength IPA to go with its 7% fore-runner, Kokomo Weekend. The response to this beer has been incredible (so much so we brewed a second batch in quick succession to keep all our Bristol customers happy!) and we’re hoping as many pubs and bars across Bristol with be pouring it on Thursday 22nd February.
We’ll be heading from GCHQ across town to spend the evening in, where else, the newly-reopened Pineapple. We hope you’ll join us there, or check out your nearest location to get involved – there’s a handy map here and the list of places it’s pouring is on facebook.

This one is going to be a night to remember: think moonshine and mafia, tommy-guns and trading, corruption and cut-throat competitors!
Hosted by us at GCHQ and designed by our good friends at Chance & Counters, we’re turning our brewery tap into an underground speakeasy where over the course of two hours you’ll find out hidden identities, buy your equipment, and get ready for the danger that awaits you at the end of the game!
With a prohibition dresscode (go gangsters, molls and film noir – but dress warmly as the speakeasy is a hidden warehouse at the end of October) our beers will be flowing all night long – just try to stay out of reach of the Don and his henchmen, and the undercover cops!
Tickets are available from Wriggle at £22 each here, and there are two evenings to choose from – your Halloween is sorted!

Little Victories, Wapping Wharf, 7 Gaol Ferry Steps, Bristol BS1 6WE
THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT – thanks to everyone who bought tickets!
We’ve teamed up with two of Bristol’s finest coffee shops for this event for Bristol Beer Week. Full Court Press and Little Victories have both put their coffee knowledge and skill to work to create two unique coffee beers with us.
Mat, from Full Court Press, has paired our rustic saison Field Work with espresso made using a naturally processed coffee from Ethiopia. While John, of Little Victories, has chosen a Kenyan coffee to pair with our light and hoppy pale ale Natural Selection.
Come down to Little Victories on Wapping Wharf for an evening of coffee and beer, as we take you through the coffees, the beers, and the resulting coffee beers. Mat from FCP, John from Little Victories and our very own head brewer Bob will be talking you through the processes that went into putting these brews together. Tickets (£12.50) include a third of each coffee beer, a third each of Field Work and Natural Selection, and tasters of both coffees.

The Eldon House, 6 Lower Clifton Hill, Bristol BS8 1BT
We really enjoyed last year’s Think While You Drink, so we’re excited to bring our talks back to Bristol Beer Week this year. This time we’ve not only lined up an evening of research from leading academics delving into the world of beer and brewing, but we’ve also got two of the most respected brewers in the country to share some secrets.
Join us at The Eldon House off Jacobs Wells Road where we will have a range of our beers available plus something special from Harbour and Mills Brewing.
The pub will be open from noon each day, so come down early for a drink and a bite to eat before the first talks kick off at 6:30pm. After our speakers finish at 8:30pm we’ll be staying around for a pint or two more to carry on the chat.
On Tuesday 17th October:
- Craft Brewing: What’s it really like to work in a brewery?
Craft brewers are usually inundated with applications when they try to recruit new members of staff. Some come from people who think they are qualified because they like to drink beer; some come from people who are curious about the culture of craft brewing; and some applications arrive in the post with a sample of homebrew. But what’s it really like to work in a craft brewery? Is it all about creativity, tasting, and pride? Or is it more about the finances, cleaning out the tanks, and driving a van? Join Dr Neil Sutherland from UWE and his colleague Dr Scott Taylor from the University of Birmingham as they present some surprising data from a current research project, that Bob and Kelly have been involved in, to shed light on what craft brewing is like for those who labour behind the barrels.
- Empire State of Mind: Craft Beer & Britishness.
Dr Sam Goodman, Lecturer in English & Communication at Bournemouth University but living near GCHQ in Easton, has carried out extensive research into national identity, with particular focus on how beer and drinking culture influence ideas of Britishness. This talk will explore the strange afterlife of the British Empire in craft beer labelling to ask whether such imagery and iconography is merely an innocuous tug on the nation’s patriotic heartstrings or representative of a wider shift in cultural and political consciousness towards a peculiarly British taste for nostalgia.
On Wednesday 18th October:
- Brewers Talks: Two very different approaches to brewing
This evening we’ll hear two very different perspectives on brewing from two leading brewers, Jonny Mills and Stuart Howe. After completing a degree in brewing at Heriot Watt, Jonny Mills worked his way up to senior brewer at Bristol Beer Factory. Jonny left in December 2016 and set up Mills Brewing with his partner Gen Kaye, in the Gloucestershire countryside. Here they specialise in spontaneous fermentation and barrel aged beers fermented with wild yeasts. His approach to brewing at Mills Brewing is to create the right conditions in the wort and then leave the yeast and bacteria to it, blending barrels to balance flavours at the end. Jonny will be explaining his methods, and what that all means for the beers he produces, and telling us about his fascination for brewing this way.
Following Jonny we’re very pleased to bring this year’s Think While You Drink to a close with one of this country’s most notable brewers. Stuart Howe is best known for creating one of the UK’s favourite beers – Doom Bar. He currently heads up the brewing team at Harbour Brewing, down in Cornwall, but he has also worked at Butcombe, Sharp’s and Bristol’s own Lost & Grounded to name but three. Stuart’s approach to brewing is technically focussed, with repeatability, control of processes and continual improvement being key.

The Hillgrove, 53 Hillgrove Street North, Bristol BS2 8LT
Come and celebrate the end of the month with us at one of our favourite pubs in Bristol – the Hillgrove in Kingsdown. We’ll be filling their fourteen casks taps – with casks ranging from our usual line-up (Time Lapse, Natural Selection, Solar Impulse) to specially-casked one-off versions of our keg beers like Wild Forest and Kokomo Weekend, plus our hugely popular recent fruited sour saison, Disco Fizz. As well as this we’ll be bringing a few keg beers to bump up the numbers!
Join us to kick-start the weekend with food from Kansai Kitchen and SEVENTEEN Good Chemistry beers. We’ll all be there, along with our regular in-warehouse DJ, most recently seen at our birthday celebrations and the East Bristol Brewery Trail, spinning his usual top quality vinyl. We can’t wait to see you!

Motion, 74-78 Avon Street, St Philips, Bristol BS2 0PX
What a great time we had as part of the first Bristol Craft Beer Festival last September! We’re so pleased to have been invited back, and look forward to sharing our beer with you as well as tasting everyone else’s!
Running for four sessions over Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday at Motion just around the corner from GCHQ, the unique ‘all in’ ticket works really well, allowing you to sample as many beers as you like. And you need that freedom, with over 200 beers being poured by more than twenty-five breweries – from Bristol and the south-west, the rest of the UK and even further afield!
This year the festival is running into the Marble Factory next door too, and creating an outdoor yard space for you to enjoy the food vendors. Grab a ticket before they sell out!

Abergavenny Food Festival, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire
Kelly joins beer writer Melissa Cole and brewster Jaega Wise to give her side of the story – what it’s like being a woman in a male-dominated industry, how she got into this crazy business, and where the new wave of beer and brewing might be heading. Abergavenny Food Festival has been called the Cannes of food festivals, so it’s pretty cool to have been invited to take part in this event.
There’s also loads of other interesting stuff happening, so if you like the look of this check out the rest of their programme.

Last time we ran this event we had far more visitors than we anticipated – a huge thank you to everyone who came along. The Crofters Rights, 117-119 Stokes Croft, Bristol BS1 3RW
Two days after our intimate beer launch and meet the brewers event at Ghost Whale in Brixton, we break out our Holy Roar collaboration brew in our hometown!
Kelly saw Holy Roar‘s first signing, Rolo Tomassi, at the Croft in about 2007, and has followed their progress since, even getting her elderflower stall a shout out from the band on stage at ArcTanGent festival! Working with the Holy Roar guys and gal on this big hoppy 6.66% stout has been a true collaboration – they know a lot about beer, and got really involved. They’re bringing three bands down to the Crofters Rights for this beer launch gig – exciting stuff!
This is a free gig with the bands out the back and beers in the bar. Come along to try the beer and check out We Never Learned To Live, Conjurer and Helpless playing live.

We are super-excited to unleash this beast of a beer on the nation’s capital!
We’ve been watching and listening to Holy Roar‘s bands since they started their record label over ten years ago, so when they asked if we fancied brewing a beer together, we couldn’t say yes quick enough! We’ve brewed a huge hoppy black stout, full of chocolate and black malts, and a satisfying 6.66% abv. Ahead of our Bristol launch gig at the Crofters Rights, we’re heading up to London to Holy Roar’s sister company, Ghost Whale Brixton, for a beer launch and meet the brewers event – we can’t wait!
This event has now SOLD OUT. Please contact Ghost Whale for returns/waiting list.

It’s that time again: we had so much fun with you all last year that we wanted to get the festival vibe going on in our brewery once more!
Because whether you tried for tickets and weren’t successful, or couldn’t take the whole weekend off work (that’s us!), we’re not going to Glastonbury are we.
So, why not come over to ours at the weekend and we’ll celebrate the festival at GCHQ instead.
We’ll set the bar up, get the sofas out, put the coverage on a big screen – you can even wear your wellies if you want! But we’ll have no mud, no camping and no rain! Gopal’s Curry Shack bar snacks will be available on Friday and Sunday, and the amazing Eatchu are joining us on Saturday to cook up a storm of gyoza, their take on delicious Japanese style dumplings – yum!
Cheers, see you there!

Following on from the work we’ve done with our Think While You Drink speaker Dr Scott Taylor, we’ve been invited to join his event at the University of Birmingham. This will celebrate the long tradition of making in the Midlands and beyond, focusing on businesses that make useful, beautiful objects from raw materials. The event will aim to explore the importance of making in key locations and celebrate the people, processes and skills involved in making things with care and pride. We at Good Chemistry love a bit of science. Following on our from our Think While You Drink talks as part of Bristol Beer Week last year we’re really excited to be one of the hosts for this year’s Bristol chapter of Pint of Science festival. Pint of Science have lined up a programme of talks from a range of University of Bristol academics and alumni, and we’re really looking forward to hearing what they have to say.
This is a ticketed event – tickets are available at the Pint of Science website: https://pintofscience.co.uk/
The bar will be open from 6pm, and seats are unreserved. Come early to secure your favourite sofa and get a pint in before the talks kick off at 7:30pm.
On Monday 15th May:
Antibiotic resistance is one of the most pressing threats we face. Antibiotics are the bedrock of modern medicine, and an important defence against communicable disease, so the rise of resistant infections directly threatens human health. Join Matt Avison, Senior Lecturer in Microbiology, as he explores what drives the selection of antibiotic resistance in farm animals, and whether there is any evidence of transmission of this resistance to pets and humans. He will challenge some of the myths that have appeared in the media and explain how his project might help reduce the threat of drug resistant infections.
On Tuesday 16th May:
Touch is a two-way communication tool. We use it to explore the world around us to get a rich tapestry of information about the objects in our lives, feeling for textures and dimensions. We also use touch to convey emotion, and trust. In a world where personal and collective communications are becoming digitalised, Ultrahaptics reintroduces the sense of touch to our experiences. By using ultrasound to project the sensation of touch directly onto the user’s hand, without the need for gloves or other wearables, touch can be added to virtual worlds and gesture recognition controls. Presented by company founder Tom Carter.

On Wednesday 17th May:
Come join us for a journey into the brain. Can it be adapted so we never have nightmares? How close are we to having robotic brains? Matt Jones and Helmut Hauser may just have the answers…
Laser-Guided Minds, presented by Matt Jones, Reader in Cognitive Neurophysiology: Fancy visiting your favourite place whenever you like, at the flick of a switch? Got any memories you’d like erasing or adjusting? How about fine-tuning your dreams? Step this way – you won’t feel a thing…
Clever Body = Clever Robot, presented by Helmut Hauser, Lecturer in Robotics: Although promised by roboticists for over 50 years we still don’t have sophisticated robots doing our chores. The reason is our world is very complex, dynamic and often unpredictable. On the other hand animals outperform state-of-the-art robots in almost any task. The reason is they not only have great brains, but they also have intelligent bodies. Therefore, to make better robots, we have to change the way we design them. We need robots that are not only intelligent in their head, but from head to toe.

The Gallimaufry, 26-28 The Promenade, Gloucester Road, Bristol BS7 8AL
Last month we were joined by the team from The Gallimaufry on Gloucester Road to brew an exclusive beer just for them. It’s a beautiful, light, fruity pale ale, served from cask, and will be pouring for the first time on Tuesday 18th April. There are also a limited number of seats available for our food and beer pairing menu in the restaurant, where some of our favourite bottled beers will be matched with delicious dishes from the Galli chef.
We (Bob and Kelly) have lived on and around the brilliant Gloucester Road for more years than we care to remember, and the independent, local, community nature of the area is hugely important to us. While The Gallimaufry recently celebrated its fifth birthday we know stories from when The Prom was first turned into a wine bar in the 1970s (not that we’ve lived there *that* long, you understand!), and are so excited to be working with such a well-known, well-loved venue.
Tickets (£30 per person) are available from the Galli or please contact us (cheers@goodchemistrybrewing.com). This includes a Galli beer on arrival, plus four courses matched with our four beers. The beer will also be on the downstairs bar, so feel free to come along for a pint out on the terrace, hopefully in the sunshine!

(Talks 6:30 – 8:30)
GCHQ, Unit 2 William Street, St Philips, Bristol BS2 0RG
We at Good Chemistry love a bit of science so we have lined up a programme of talks from the academics behind some of the most interesting beer-related research currently taking place. This is a free unticketed event – the only charge is at the bar! Seats are first come, first served, but we have lots of sofas and chairs.
On Tuesday 30th August:
- The Cultural Significance of the British Beer Renaissance
Dr Thomas Thurnell-Read, a lecturer in cultural sociology at Loughborough University, has carried out extensive research into drinking culture, including looking at how the British beer renaissance has recast the relationship between consumer and producer. This talk will touch on the activism of CAMRA, the craft beer scene’s fascination with punk imagery, and the rejection of mass production in favour of more individualised alternatives.
Follow him on twitter: @ThurnellReadSoc
- Fermenting Culture – Gender, Brewing and the Revival of Craft Work
Dr Neil Sutherland from UWE and colleagues Dr Scott Taylor and Dr Chris Land have recently embarked on an academic research project exploring gender in the craft brewing industry. Although still in the early stages of this, their talk will give a broad overview of their findings so far, as well as facilitating a discussion around important areas: in what ways can the craft beer industry be understood as gendered (or not), what are the various approaches/perspectives on gender (eg celebration, ambivalence, hostility), and, if we’re witnessing a move toward more inclusive and egalitarian practices, why now? Good Chemistry’s own Bob & Kelly are involved in this research.
On Wednesday 31st August:
- The Science of Your Pint
Do you know how many calories are in your drink? Do you care? Would you want to see a health warning on your beer bottle? What about standard shaped glasses? And how would knowing your drinking speed change you drinking behaviour? In response to government calls to regulate labelling on alcoholic beverages, these are just some of the questions Dr Angela Attwood and Dr Olivia Maynard from the Tobacco and Alcohol Research Group at the University of Bristol will ask you to consider in their talk on the psychology of your pint glass.
Follow them on twitter: @OliviaMaynard17, @AngelaAttwood
Follow the Tobacco and Alcohol Research Group: @BristolTARG
- The Science of Hangovers
Why do we feel so awful the day after heavy drinking? Is there any truth behind the idea that hangovers get worse as we get older and that we feel worse if we “mix” our drinks? Dr Sally Adams from the University of Bath will discuss these questions and ask if there is a potential cure for hangovers on the horizon.
Follow her on twitter: @SallyScientist
The bar will be open throughout from 5pm each day, so come down early for a pint before the first talks kick off at 6:30pm. After our speakers finish at 8:30pm we’ll be manning the bar until 9pm to carry on the chat.

So, why don’t you come over to ours at the weekend and we’ll celebrate the festival at GCHQ instead. We’ll set the bar up, get the sofas out, put coverage on a big screen – you can even wear your wellies if you want! But we’ll have no mud, no camping and no rain! Gopal’s Curry Shack will be here on Saturday and we’ll have their delicious pakoras on Friday and Sunday – get here early as they sold out at our previous event.
Cheers, see you here!

Five of Bristol’s best breweries are rolling up the shutters for the first bank holiday weekend!
With just a short walk between each brewery, it’s a chance to meet the brewers, explore the area and sample some great local beers. The Brewery Trail is centred around the start of the Bristol & Bath cycle path, and between Temple Meads and Lawrence Hill stations.
Pick up a map at your first brewery, and if you visit all five you’re in with a chance to win a selection of East Bristol breweries beers!
s nearly one whole year since we first got the keys for the big old warehouse we now know and love as GCHQ!

DID YOU KNOW?
The foamy head is an important part of beer. It is formed by a complex carbon-dioxide reaction and can say a lot about the quality of the beer. If the head is missing, it can mean that your beer is flat and sometimes bland-tasting.
