Dear friends of The Good Measure and Good Chemistry,

Big news – we’re excited to announce the opening of our Redland pub, The Good Measure, for take-away on Thursday 2^nd July.

We have been overwhelmed by the support and goodwill we’ve been shown since we opened in Dec 2018, and thank everyone for giving us such a great first year. We very much look forward to re-opening properly, and welcoming you all for post-lockdown pints (or glasses of wine, or G&Ts!), but for the time being we’re going to stick to take-away.

Pubs play a huge role in British society, and we’re proud to be part of that, and part of the Chandos Road and Redland communities. This continues to be a difficult and uncertain time for everyone, including the nation’s pubs, and we hope you will keep supporting us when we re-open, as you have since Dec 2018.

Our priorities remain protecting our teams to ensure they’re not exposed more than can possibly be avoided, and to ensure they’re provided for in as full a way as we can manage for as long as possible; and protecting our businesses to make sure that, as this passes, we all have something to come back to, to build back up, to continue working for and, we hope, being proud of.

To that end, we will be maintaining 2m distancing at The Good Measure at all times. Our ‘house rules’ are in the picture, and we ask you to familiarise yourself with them before coming to the pub. In addition, we will take card payment only (contactless preferred where possible); toilets will be closed to the public; no tasters and no drink-in – we will be take-away only, and ask you to move on once making your purchase and not hang out to chat (tempting though we know it will be!). We will still be doing pre-orders on this website of Bag In Box and mini-kegs which can be collected from the pub from 4pm on Thursdays, and will have our cans at The Good Measure ahead of anywhere else!

We’re really looking forward to seeing you but want to keep you and us safe. Please work with us to make this happen.

And finally, a bit of really good news: we’re incredibly pleased that The Good Measure has been voted Runner-up CAMRA Pub Of The Year in the Bristol area, after just a year of trading!
