This month, as part of our year-long celebration of our decade in business, we're exploring 10 Years of Good Vibes, and there's no better month to choose! Why? Because this July, we're throwing our 10th Birthday Party here at the Brewery Taproom. It's going to be all about fresh beers, brilliant tunes and good people, and you're invited! After all, it's not a party without you, our beautiful beer-drinking community.
What is a 'vibe'?
It's that intangible something that hits you the moment you walk through our doors. It's a feeling in the air, a rhythm, the energy in the building. It's the low hum of bass from the brewery speaker. It's the smell of sweet malt and fresh hops in the morning, and the long stretch of light across the can shop floor in summer. It's a mood, a feeling. It's ten years of energy housed inside this building in our corner of awesome East Bristol.
We've just got a different vibe!
We're not loud, not flashy, just authentically us. We've been brewing for a decade, but what we're really proud of is the energy we've kept alive. Curiosity, creativity and just the right amount of chaos. Looking back from this milestone birthday, we've stayed committed to Good People and Good Times, which has created an unmistakable vibe that makes us, us.
Sound and Vision
Good vibes begin with good sound. There's always something playing in the brewery. It sets the tone for the day, entertains us, gets us through tough days and, mostly, brings us together.
Curating the sound of a day has become a tradition. Think entire playlists, collaboratively constructed, based on a chosen theme, a cultural reference or a beer name. It's Kokomo’s escapist yacht rock. It's joyous anthems for Pure Optimism. It’s Bavarian folk music when we brew Weiss City, retro video games music for Game Theory, and of course, Bob’s favourite, the Disco Fizz playlist.

In late 2024, we made some updates to how we look. Not a rebrand. More of a change in tempo. We took our approaching anniversary as a chance to reflect on who we are and an opportunity to marry up the visuals that make us, us! Clean lines meet lo-fi visuals. Bold pastel colours highlight cask beers. Hard flash photography brightening up the deep varnish of our taproom. This visual evolution reflects where we are now, 10 years into our journey.
Brewery Taproom Vibes: Come As You Are
When you visit the brewery, you're stepping into our world. If you've ever dropped into our taproom you'll know it's a space built on openness, inclusiveness, and genuine welcome. Ultimately, this is where our 'vibe' is most tangible, it's relaxed and homely but also exciting and full of energy!
For those of you who’ve been to our events, whether that's the behemoth that is East Bristol Brewery Trail (back at the end of August), our vibrant Eurovision and Glastonbury parties, open brew days, beer launches and birthday parties, you've seen us at our best. Throwing a good party is in our DNA. Good Beer, Good Music and Good People is a sure fire way to make Good Chemistry.

We're throwing a party on Saturday 26th July at the brewery taproom (open 12-8pm). It's a big one! A milestone that we actually can't believe we've hit. So, come experience everything that makes us who we are. Drop in or stay for the duration. Try one, two, or a fair few more of the beers we'll be pouring. Birthday Beers: Pure Celebration & Good Vibes
PURE CELEBRATION takes everything you’ve loved about Pure Optimism since we first brewed it five years ago, and ramps it up for our birthday IPA. With double the hop addition and a higher ABV of 5.8%, expect bold flavours and aromas of citrus and that unmistakable pithy finish. It's bigger, bolder, and brewed to mark a huge milestone for us. 10 years of optimism and another 10 years of Good Chemistry!

GOOD VIBES is a super dry pale, brewed to celebrate our love of cask beer. At just 3.8%, it's easy-going but big on flavour. The malt base is clean and light and comes with a big whirlpool addition, showcasing a classic style of brewing. A blend of German noble hops brings floral, grassy and herbal notes, with a crisp, satisfying bitterness to finish. Remember, that’s bold bitterness, high sessionability and nothing but good vibes.
