Opening Hours Latest – 22/03/2020

Dear friends of Good Chemistry Brewing and The Good Measure,

We’re living in strange uncertain times, with a lot of unknown unknowns, and what’s definitely clear is that there is no infallible guidance out there.

For Bob and me, our priorities are two-fold:

We want to protect our teams, both at GCHQ and at the pub, to ensure they’re not exposed more than can possibly be avoided, and to ensure they’re provided for in as full a way as we can manage for as long as possible.

And we want to protect our businesses, to make sure that, when this passes, we all have something to come back to, to build back up, to continue working for and, we hope, being proud of.

To this end, we are reducing the opening hours of our brewery can shop (William St, St Philips BS2 0RG). The hours this week will be Monday 23rd, Wednesday 25th and Friday 27th between 11am and 4pm. Things are changing so quickly at the moment we’re not sure about the long-term viability of this right now, so we’ll update for the next week later this week. But reducing this means one of us only needs to be serving customers for a much shorter time.

Our home delivery service, from our online webshop, will also only be running on certain days. If you place an order for delivery within Bristol it will be delivered on Monday, Wednesday or Friday, depending on when you order.

We will continue to send beer out to the wider Bristol area and across the country through our courier partner as long as they are still delivering, and we’ll let you know if they stop this service.

We’re also changing the hours that The Good Measure (2b Chandos Road, Redland, BS6 6PE) will be open as a can pick-up point. The pub will be open Monday 23rd to Saturday 28th from 12noon to 8pm, and Sunday 29th from 12 till 6pm. We’ll update you on the opening hours after that later this week.

Obviously this is a constantly changing situation, and we need to protect our staff, so this is all subject to change as official advice is updated, and we appreciate your understanding.

Bob & I have built our businesses over the last five years trying to be thoughtful, open and inclusive in what we do, and by growing organically with sensitivity and care. We fully intend to still be here, as a brewery and as a pub, with our full teams in place and ready to move forward, when this passes. We very much look forward to sharing the next stage of our journey with you then.

And once again – thank you for all your support, generosity, kindness and love for Good Chemistry since 2015!

Cheers,

Kelly & Bob, and Sam, Dan, Fergus, Liam and Amber, and Will, Martyn and David
