Packaging Assistant and Delivery Driver required

Us: For nearly four years Good Chemistry Brewing has been making beer in Bristol. As demand for our beers increases, we are looking to grow our team. We are a 10bbl brewery, brewing a range of beers to cask and keg, and starting contract canning before the end of 2019. Based in St Philips, at the heart of the East Bristol Brewery Trail, we care deeply about building our community and creating good chemistry in its broadest sense.

You:
Full clean driving licence, and over 25 years of age for van insurance purposes
Physically fit and healthy
Not afraid of hard work and getting your hands dirty
Take pride in your work
Great attention to detail
Logical, organised and efficient
Flexible – as a small business with a lot going on things are subject to change
Broad knowledge of and interest in beer
Brewery experience preferred
A desire to contribute to the successful growth of one of Bristol’s up-and-coming new breweries

This role is in two parts: getting our beer out to our customers across Bristol (and beyond) with Dan, and working alongside our brewer Fergus in the brewery and warehouse over a range of tasks including packaging and cleaning.

This is a physically demanding role where you will be out on the brew floor and in the warehouse, and in the van, for all of your time. It would suit someone good at dealing with people but happy working on their own – while being part of a hard-working but fun team. The work can be repetitive, physical, and at extremes of temperature – sometimes a mixture of all three – so you have to really want to work in a brewery.

Being part of our team means extra-curricular activities too – we run and are involved in numerous events through the year, as well as having our brewery tap open over the summer. Because you’re a sociable person who likes talking about beer, we hope you will join us at these events, and, where possible, get behind the bar at the tap on specific occasions (eg East Bristol Brewery Trail weekends).

This is a part-time position to begin with, for four days a week, with occasional evening and weekend commitments. We are a living wage employer. We would like the successful applicant to start as soon as possible.

If you like what we’re doing, and this sounds like you and your interests, drop us a line to cheers@goodchemistrybrewing.com by Friday 6th September with your CV and a brief note (no more than 200 words) about why you think you’d fit Good Chemistry. We look forward to hearing from you. Cheers.
